One Video

Saturday, May 10th, 2014

If you only watch one video today, watch this… Look Up by Gary Turk. Amazingly simple film but a truly powerful message. I look around me when I’m out and about and I completely agree with the message Gary is sending in that video, so many people going through life, head down, phone in hand.

DNS Server Under Attack

Saturday, July 7th, 2012

Well, what can I say… this is this first post from the WordPress iPad App. Yes, the Apple logo running through my bones that began life when I purchased my MacBook Pro is growing as I now own an iPad. Like the MacBook Pro, I spent an incalculable amount of time fondling the iPads in my local Tescos… so much so that I could potentially have gotten arrested for having an inappropriate relationship with an item of technology. Eventually I succumbed to the magic dust that Apple sprinkle on their products (Dilbert) and purchased one and I can honestly say, it’s great.

I’ve been tinkering with a number of Apps but more on those in a later post. For now, I want to put a shout out to see if anyone else is coming under fire from what appears to be an attempt to blitz one of my DNS servers. (more…)

Netgamers technical difficulties – Resolved

Saturday, June 25th, 2011

If you’re a IRC user, you’ll probably have noticed they are having some technical difficulties at the moment which have taken the whole domain off the web. The IRC infrastructure is, from what I can see all up and running (certainly there is at least one server up along with the services bot P), but you will need to connect to:-

As soon as I know the DNS issues are sorted, I’ll pop up an update post.

Update (19th Nov 2011 – a bit late I know, but better late than never) – They appear to have resolved the problems that beset them earlier in the year.  I’m not sure when it all got sorted, but from what I can gather it was down to an expired domain name.

Another woeful England performance

Sunday, June 27th, 2010

What a woeful display of footballing ‘excellence’…. the best players we have… give me a break.

If you disregard the disallowed goal, England’s display was appalling… completely and utterly outclassed by the Germans… I know who I’ll be supporting from here on in. (more…)

Yet again, games are in the firing line and now I’m getting really angry.

Congestion Charge On The Railway

Tuesday, June 21st, 2005

We heard recently about the road charging proposals… so, as a motorist I think to myself, I like my car, but I’ve commuted on the train before… its not so bad and for places like London, its great. Now this… ‘ Rail ‘congestion charge’ proposed’ (more…)

£1mil To Encourage Minorities Into Countryside

Friday, June 10th, 2005

Unless I’m blind or just really unobservant, I don’t actually recall seeing any signs or any other items which may or may not deter the minorities of this country venturing into the countryside… they would use the same roads as the rest of us… the same means of transport… the same footpaths… so why is £1mil going to be spent trying to encourage the minorities into the countryside? (more…)

Road Charges Could Crucify The Less Well Off

Thursday, June 9th, 2005

Here we are on the verge of what I can only describe a one hell of a messed up scheme designed to address the increasing levels of congestion on the countries roads. So, as a motorist, here’s what I think about it. (more…)

Springer Show Offends Christians

Thursday, March 31st, 2005

I came across this on the beebs news site. The gist of the article is how the beebs governors decided not to uphold complaints received about the Jerry Springer musical, but what bothers me most is the increasing number of attempts to censor television, radio, the stage and other entertainment mediums on religious grounds. (more…)
