It would be so great if somehow when you installed something like this, or Nuke that the system could pick your brain and create a first post for you. What do you say in the first post… hi my name is X, I live in Y and I enjoy Z… ARGH!!! They are such a pain to write, but they are totally unavoidable.

Its like going on some kind of team building exercise… “hi my name is AthenaOfDelphi… I create software, dabble with electronics, play too many games and have some very strong views on the state of things in my home country… the UK”. Then what… I’m sure everyones been in that situation at some point, the dreaded words “I want you all to stand up and tell us one at a time a little bit about yourself”. I dread hearing them. Most of my “team mates” are normally men who look at me gone out when I tell them I like nothing more than a good frag listening to some heavy dance music.

Anyhow, you’re probably wondering why, if I don’t like sharing information about myself with others, am I putting it on-line for the world to see. Good question and I’m not sure at this point I have an answer. There have been a lot of news storys of late that have made me incredibly angry, so from time to time I need to vent and this is a good way of doing it.

You’ll probably notice some changes over the coming weeks, theme, graphics etc, but for now, the defaults will do. In case its not clear, I’m running on WordPress, and so far I’m impressed.

So what else might you want to know… I’m 33, I work for a company in Wales, although I’m not going to talk too much about that because to be honest, I only do it to pay the bills and if they knew what I do in my spare time I’d probably get fired… my creative heart lies elsewhere. I like music… lots of it. Some chart, some rock, some indie, but most of all trancey dancey stuff that you just can’t help but move to. I like to cook, I especially like Italian, Chinese and not too hot Indian dishes. I also like to read, although generally I reserve that for when I’m travelling or staying away from home for work.

And for now, that just about wraps it up. I doubt that it will be too long before I post something else
