Bradgate Park in the snow
Went for a walk in Bradgate Park this morning… took a whole bunch of photos for some panoramas and I’ve just stitched them together with Hugin (a great open source panorama stitching kit)… have a look.
This one is taken at what is roughly the mid-point of the road through the park, kind of half way between the Deer Barn cafe and the ruins.
This one is taken from a hill behind the ruins. We walked up the left hand side (as you look at them from the road) of the ruins and this is taken from the hill you climb if you walk straight up towards Old John.
And this one is taken on the much higher hill that you would climb if you walk roughly straight towards the Cropston entrance to the park from the hill behind the ruins. You can clearly see Old John and the war memorial.
And here’s one I originally made in 2007, but I’ve just rebuilt it with the latest version of hugin. This one is taken on the hill overlooking the waterfalls and ponds at the Newtown Linford entrance.
The first 3 were created with pictures taken using my Nikon D70 fitted with its 70-300mm telephoto lens, with each being approximately 20K pixels wide. The last was created with pictures taken with my Fujifilm S5500.
