Symbols

I figured quite early on that it would help when sketching out ideas if I used a standard set of symbols. So, I created an Excel (Excel 2007 XLSX Format) spreadsheet that I use to jot down ideas and figure things out. Each cell uses a drop down list that contains the symbols below. Putting together an idea is then simply a matter of selecting the appropriate symbols. I also use the same set of symbols when I sketch ideas on paper.

Whilst these symbols work for me, they may not work for you, but I’ve published them just in case. If you think you might find the spreadsheet helpful, you can download a copy of it here.
